FAQs

What camera can I use?

Personally we found Canon 90D with a 100mm macro lens is optimal and provides the best bang for your buck; however, pretty much any camera can be used as long as it has a remote trigger function and use connectivity. The frame is adjustable to allow for different camera and lens combinations. The current camera mount suits the typical Canon DLSR cameras, but if you have something significantly different we can supply a different camera mount to suit (specify upon order).

What software can I use for the data collection?

Imago or Geobank Mobile are generally used, but we're happy to help check other software to ensure compatibility–just ask the team.
